So this was a great on-location shoot! Kara's children truly reminded me of my childhood, growing up in a family of two girls and one boy and the ever lasting chaos that goes along with having three kids. When one is smiling, the other is crying and the last is looking the opposite way of the camera or should I say making bunny ears =) I told Kara (and I often say this about many of my families I photograph) that the outtakes keep me laughing all throughout the editing process. Let's face it, kids are just funny and I would not be in this business if I truly did not enjoy it and get a huge kick out of it! I LOVE the fact that they were super spontaneous because these are the moments we remember. Any lifestyle photographer will tell you that candid child photography produces lots of great memories, laughs and one day in the future a "gag reel" on my website (ok, maybe not). Anyway, thanks so much to mom (Kara) for allowing me to spend some time with her kids. She is such an awesome mom and friend. Lastly, a special thanks to Emma, Zoe and Luke! -Shelby

The Cutest Pumpkin Patch
Welcome to fall and of course the cutest pumpkin patch you have ever seen! Dorothy told me she wanted to take some "fall like" family pictures and maybe a few at the end with her kids in their Halloween costumes that she and her neighbor made. Little did I know they were the most adorable costumes ever! I am not much of a seamstress so I was totally amazed that someone could be so talented. Actually reminded me when I was little and my mom made me a "Raggedy Ann" costume. Anyway, these are two pumpkins I could just eat up they are so cute! Thank you to Dorothy and Steve for putting me in the fall / Halloween spirit! Happy trick or treating!

A Tea Party in the Park
Oh little Jadyn was just so cute having her Tea Party in the beautiful greenery of Mead Gardens! I was so excited when her mom Carrie told me she has some ideas for the photo shoot and wanted to bring along some props. We had a great time pulling on the Palm trees, playing peek-a-boo behind the tree trunks, pouring tea for our animals and climbing in our dress =) Thanks Carrie for letting me photograph your little sweet pea! -Shelby

Baby Emelia {Central Florida Baby and Newborn Photographer}
Oh do I love those babies! Kimberlee and her husband Brook came to me a few weeks ago to inquire about three on-location sessions during baby Emelia's first year. She is two months old and as you can see, such a treat to photograph! Mom and dad were so good in front of the camera and naturals when it came to just being real and allowing me to capture these precious times with their baby. I am so thrilled I get to watch Emelia grow over the next year and get to know this family even better. Thank you both! -Shelby

New Mom-to-Be {Orlando Maternity Photographer}
If you haven't recognized her yet, Alicia is my savvy "Breakfast at Tiffany's" gal from a few blog entries prior. Is she not the most adorable preggo you have ever seen? I love, love, love that she had a unique vision for her images but then also brought a change of clothes for a different look during the second half of our session. She really kept me on my toes =) Her husband Aaran was such a trooper and yes....I must give credit where credit is due....Aaran came up with (what turned out to be my favorite shot) the heart on the belly. Kudos to the soon-to-be new dad! Thank you so much Alicia and Aaran. I am so excited I met you both and can't wait for little Audrey to make her way into the world!

"The" Kindermusik Family takes on the beach...
It was time again for my annual Lesnick holiday photo shoot and Holly decided we would try the beach this year. Holly Lesnick is the owner of Kindermusik, Grow & Sing Studios. I am sure if you follow along you have seen me blog about her many times before. Did I mention she is also super mom? Did I mention her husband is amazing as well? Well if I didn't, I will say it now and even more important, I will say she has the most adorable children, Aiden and Anna. We had so much fun at the beach and dodge some rain but ended up with a rainbow and some great family moments. I had tears in my eyes when I finished her gallery...tears of joy that I caught exactly what I set out to capture...the love and warmth that this family has and shares with the world. I hope you enjoy Holly! -Shelby

"Breakfast at Tiffany's" {Orlando Maternity Photography}
There is nothing a photographer loves more then a subject with creativity and imagination! I certainly hit the jackpot when Alicia (no, her name was not Holly Golightly) began telling me about her fascination with Audrey Hepburn. In fact, Alicia is have a "Breakfast at Tiffany's" baby shower as I write and will name her soon-to-come baby girl Audrey. Alicia wanted to bring her black Audrey Hepburn dress to the shoot and take "just a few pictures if we have time" she said....that was not good enough for me. My creativity juices were flowing and I thought it would be AWESOME to try to pull off some of the still photos from her favorite movie. He husband was such a sport and as you can see played the role just perfect. I put a lot of thought and time into what "look" I wanted these images to have. I am so thrilled with how these turned out and what a great story this will make for her daughter. This is a little sneak peek with more pictures (and a change of clothes) to come. Thank you so much to Alicia and Aaron! I am so thrilled that we will be working together to capture your family as you grow over the next year....Enjoy!
