Yes, Amanda and Finley are the not only awesome friends and (Finley) classmate to my daughter Ella, but they are the best neighbors anyone could ask for. Amanda and I have swapped children and dog duties several time before. I am not sure how I would get along without her (I just borrowed some Gatorade from her last night for my sick husband)! I love that our girls have been in the same class for two years running now....Ella was included today on our session as my first time assistant. Everyone was very well behaved and it made me smile to take these pictures of Amanda and her daughter. Thanks neighbor! -Shelby

Future Golfer in Training?
I feel so lucky to have met the O'Donnell family! Wendy (who is also a UF Grad....Go Gators!) was so prepared for this session that you would think she is the pro! Not only did she have toys, balls, milk & a brush, she also brought the most adorable set of toddler golf clubs for her son Will. How fitting for our location at Casa Feliz set on the picturesque Winter Park golf course. Looks like Dad (John), has some future plans for his son =) Thank you so much to Wendy and John for spending so much with me so early in the morning. You have a beautiful family and are very blessed. -Shelby

The Peters Family {Orlando and Oveido Family Photographer}
Another great session with the Peters Family and another excuse to skip the gym after chasing their three awesome kids around a very large soccer field! I honestly just end up wanting to put down my camera and play with these little tykes. They are so sweet and have so much personality. Thanks again to Chris and Andrea for trusting me again with your family memories...-Shelby

Life In Focus Event (LIFE) {Simply Shelby Photography and Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children}
I Just got back from presenting all the LIFE gifts to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. A personal thank you goes out to all Trinity Lutheran School parents, students, church members, staff and many of my Simply Shelby families. The month of October was our Life In Focus Event (LIFE) to raise awareness of Congenital Heart Disease by donating to the Congenital Heart Institute (Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children). Together we raised over $600 and an invaluable amount of toys for their Child Life Program. In addition to the gift of giving, FIVE family portrait mini sessions were presented to five of our Trinity families along with a FREE 8x10 mounted print of their choice from Simply Shelby Photography. Thank you again to everyone with a very special heartfelt thanks to Darlene Sabin for helping to put this event together at Trinity, Dena Pichardo, Sheri Mosley and Sandy Atkinson of Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and of course Andrea, Chris and Cayden Peters for showing me the path to helping wonderful children like Cayden. Together we really made a difference!

Dickson Azalea Park
Who new that Orlando has such a beautiful tropical park hidden in downtown. I am almost embarrassed to say I completely forgot about this location (I live less than a mile away!) until Vicki mentioned that her husband and son had decided on this location for our holiday mini session. I have photographed this family once before through Kindermusik and was really looking forward to seeing them again. Their son is a little older than mine and very excited about our adventure through Dickson Azalea Park. I must say, they make my job very easy! Thank you to Todd and Vicki for giving me the opportunity to work with you again!

Sweet Maggie!
Well I wouldn't really consider myself a Pet Photographer so when Erica asked me to do portraits for her and her adorable 6 month old lab mix, I thought "Why Not?". I quite often have the family pet in many of my photos but I wouldn't really say they are the center of focus. I love dogs and for those of you who know me well, our family just suffered the great loss of our beloved family dog, Daisy. Daisy was a chocolate lab so I thought this photo shoot might be difficult but instead I would myself LOVING my time with Erica and Maggie and truly enjoying the opportunity to have such a wonderful and playful dog on the other side of my camera. Thank you so much to Erica who I met through Kindermusik. You are such a smart and awesome individual and best wishes to your very bright future =) -Shelby

Choo Choo!
For those of you who have not seen the old steam engine downtown by Church Street, it is a must see especially if your little boy is wild about trains! The Guitton family (who has recently expanded to five) wanted a fun place for their holiday mini session. Tristan and Esme were in heaven and Amelie....well she didn't cry at all so maybe it is a sign of an early train fascination. Anyway, thanks to Terri and Fred for a great session and of course that adorable wardrobe you showed up in. Terri.....I WANT those boots! Thanks again guys =)

Savannah & Sierra
Another set of adorable sisters I had the opportunity to photograph! I met the Adams family through Kindermusik and can remember when Sierra was just born. It has been so much fun watching these cuties grow up and observe what playful spirits they have. Certainly not a hard group to get some smiles out of, that is for sure! Thanks again to this awesome family for the chance to get to know you even better =)
Mia and Zoe
What two adorable and fun little girls! Mia and Zoe had me running up and down New Broad Street trying to capture a picture! Thankfully mom (Andrea) was along for the ride and so much fun as she encouraged her girls to be silly and have fun (makes for great candid shots like these). Anyway, I am so thrilled that Andrea loved my work enough to bid on a package at a silent auction/fundraiser. It has been so much fun getting to know this sweet family!

Pictures with Grandma & Grandpa
I just love it when I get to photograph children with their grandparents! I have had the chance to photograph Laura's children (Juliet & Bennett) several times and yesterday I got to capture them with their grandparents, Sue & Stan. It truly was a treat and of course the kids were all smiles =) Thank you again Laura for trusting me with your photos! -Shelby

Chloe Lane Pendant Event
What a great event last week photographing families for Chloe Lane Boutique's Pendant Event! For those of you who do not know Jenn Fenton, she is a very talented jewelry designer who creates unique keepsakes with images of your children. A very special thank you to all the families who came out to join us and to Chloe Lane of course (Leigh and Rosie are so awesome) and Jenn Fenton. Here is a little sneak peek of some of the children captured =)
