Has it been 13 years already?

Isn't my niece just beautiful!! I took these pictures while in Melbourne this past weekend spending some time with my family and celebrating all the birthdays we have in February. One birthday, my niece Kylie, just really took me off guard. I mean, I knew that she was going to be 13 but I didn't really think about it too much until that day. It seems just the other day when she was born and I bought her a green velvet jumper to wear for Christmas (it was cute, I promise). Now she is all grown up with cool hair, long legs and an opinion about what she wears. One thing is for sure....she is an amazing not-so-little girl whose sweet demeanor has remained unchanged. Love you Kylie!

Launch Workshop With Stacy Larsen

First I just want to say that Stacy Larsen is an amazing mentor and photographer!! I went to Stacy's workshop in early February and met some very talented ladies and of course was able to learn from one of the greatest. I don't think I will ever get to a point in my photography career where I will stop chomping at the bit to attend these kinds of workshops! I feel so re-energized and excited about photography when I am done. I also feel so thankful for all my fabulous clients who allow me to enjoy my work so much! Thank you again Stacy! -Shelby

St. Augustine Workshop with Shannon Sewell

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to attend a day long workshop with Shannon Sewell and some amazing other female photographers! Not only is Shannon amazing (check her out at www.shannonsewell.com) she is super sweet and giving of her talents. She had set up some super cute photo opportunities for us on the beach and another in a more urban setting. Our models were the adorable kids of Kelleen Hite of Pure Sugar Studios (also our host for this workshop and college friend of mine). I can't tell you how grateful I am for these opportunities and how much I learn. Thanks to everyone! I had a blast =) Enjoy the session pictures below....

The Blog Challenge! (Week One)

Dear Blog,
I know you have missed me as I have been pretty crazy lately and ignored my promise to you. I hope you can accept my apology and enjoy my new challenge for you!
